Gloves

Make sure your gloves are waterproof and breathable. There is nothing more unpleasant than wet gloves. As a beginner, it can be an advantage to use gloves with a projector. Out of reflex, you often lean on your hands when you fall. The right falling technique can minimize the risk, but fighting this reflex is often difficult, especially at the beginning. 

Mittens or finger gloves

Mittens are generally a little warmer than gloves, but you can grip objects better with gloves. I now prefer mittens because I find them much more comfortable.

In or over a jacket

Depending on whether you want to wear your gloves over or under your jacket, you need to take this into account when buying gloves. I prefer to wear my gloves under my jacket.
